Adonit Jot Pro Stylus for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Other Touch Screens (ADJPR)

Product Description

Touch screens have simplified technology, but there has yet to be a way to capture the precision of a calligrapher or the stroke of an artist. Not only should it meet your needs, but a stylus should have style. We would like to fix that. Introducing Jot, the stylus the world has been looking for.

  • Your stylus should be as sharp as your ideas. The thin and clear disc gives you the accuracy you want in a digital pen.
  • Hold your stylus at the angle you are most comfortable with. Jot gives you the freedom to write or sketch like you are used to.
  • Jot Pro attaches magnetically to your tablet. For more command and comfort. Once Jot is in your grip, the quality is unmistakable. The durable aluminum and steel gives Jot superior conductivity and craftsmanship comparable to any luxury pen.
  • Protects the precision disc when Jot is taking a break. Sits on the back of the stylus when Jot is in the game.
  • Compatible with all capacitive touch screens iPad, iPhones, MacBook Trackpads, Magic Trackpads, HTC, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, Blackberry.

This is an excellent stylus for drawing on the iPad. I wanted something to work with sketchbook pro and notes plus for drawing out ideas and doodling thoughts (I work as a graphic designer) in meetings. My problem with other styli that I tried was the fat tip which obscured what was being drawn. The Jot Pro solves that problem quite well. While the resolution of the digitizer is still a limitation, this stylus is wonderful to draw with. At first it seemed that I had to press harder than I liked, but that no longer seems to be the case. It also feels nice in the hand. Good weight and a feel of quality construction. The magnetic attachment to the iPad is also very useful and also serves to lock and wake up the iPad when putting the pen down and picking it back up. Well worth the purchase.

We have reviewed several styli for note taking on an iPad. We've tried Targus (poor); Acase and Ayl (good) and Bamboo or AluPen (very good). I can see that the Jot Pro could far exceed these rankings if it were not for one thing -- if you have a screen protector of high quality on your iPad (i.e. Zagg's Invisishield), this pen WILL NOT write smoothly - it catches and hangs up as if it gets stuck on the screen protector. I read dozens of reviews for this stylus and do not ever remember anyone mentioning that. I can't justify removing a screen protector just to use this stylus. It writes VERY smoothly on my iPhone...but that's not where I take notes.
