I wanted a model that was not too heavy to move around (this one weighs a little over 11 lbs) and one that would use less electricity (this one uses just 50% of the power of other comparable sized models, just 17 watts). This model has features not found on similar monitors - the screen can be height adjusted (up to 3") and can rotate 360 degrees as well as tilt up 20 degrees. It has both VGA and DVI connections (cables included) and has integrated speakers (the speakers are a bit weak with only a total of 3 watts output). The maximum resolution is up to 1440 X 900 with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The model has a LED backlight which cuts down on the electricity use of this model. Screen is very bright and colors are very vibrant (the dynamic contrast ratio was stated as 10 million to 1 with a 5 ms response rate). It has been tested with all current versions of Windows OS. We took a chance on a new provider because the price what was too good to pass up. You know the saying "if it sounds too good to be true...", well in this case it was better. The product arrived a day before expected and it was the holiday weekend. The packaging was intact, the screen was beautiful and the set up as easy as could be. I replaced my monitor in less than 15 minutes. I immediately emailed IT Goldrush and let them know how happy I was. The resolution is beautiful and my computer's speed has improved. All around a GREAT quality purchase. |
